Hi friends!
We thought we’d introduce ourselves, share our story and what’s brought us here…
Dan
Fish and chips has been a part of my life from a young age, landing a job at the local Havant chippy at just 15. I took pride in working my way up to manager, handling everything from orders to fryers. Ever since those days, I’ve dreamed of owning my own little fish and chips shop.
Well over a decade later, I decided to finally take the plunge and chase my chippy dreams. With a wonderful family and day job in tow, I carefully researched mobile catering options that wouldn’t overwhelm my full plate. When a fish and chips van went up for sale locally, all the pieces fell into place. It felt like an opportunity too good to pass.
Launching Frying High Fish & Chips last year has been a great experience. Like riding a bike, I easily slipped back into time behind the fryer whipping up childhood favourites. Getting to know our community through pop-ups and events this first year while developing new crispy recipes and specials.
Now, I’m chuffed to bring Frying High & Chips taking up a full-time pitch right in my hometown of Havant! I can’t wait to serve proper tasty food to locals in this exciting new chapter.
Ever since those days, I’ve dreamed of owning my own little fish and chip shop.

I first caught the fish and chips bug as a young teen working as a “spud boy” prepping potatoes at the local chippy. I was eager to learn the trade and work my way up the fryer line. My passion for serving up hot, crispy classics has never wavered since those early days.
I set my sights on running my own mobile chippy one day. My dear nan fondly recalled the fried fish man who came ’round each Friday when she was a girl. I wanted to bring that same joy on wheels! But I lacked the confidence to go solo.
That’s where my childhood friend Dan comes in. We go way back to summer jobs in the kitchen. Reconnecting as adults, we realised our shared dream of owning a quality fish and chip business. It’s been my dream to own a fish and chip truck and run my own company. With Dan as my partner in chips, I finally have the courage to make this venture a reality!
I feel like it’s my fate to carry on the tradition bringing excellent fish and chips to the local community in Havant. And I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter! We’re bringing quality all day food and good vibes to our community.
